Pandering

I am sick of pandering politicians who are long on talk and short on action. Democrates and Republicans are equally guilty. This was highlighted this week by all the political hot air from Washington concerning the current price of gasoline. Do these knuckle heads really care about solutions or simply sound bites that will play to public concern.

Everytime the price of gas increases substantially, "Big Oil" is villafied and the pinheads in Washington call for investigations of the industry for price gouging. Each time it has been done in the past nothing was found and no evidence of gouging will be found this time.

Remember oil companies are making about 8 cents per gallon, while the Federal goverment makes about 40 cents per gallon regardless of the price. For their 8 cents the oil industry gives you a gallon of gas, what have you really gotten for the 40 cents the federal government charges you. So who is really gouging the consumer, maybe we should investigate the federal governent for corruption and wasteful spending.

By repealing the gas tax Americans would be paying 40 cents less for each gallon. If a car has a 15 gallon tank that would be 6 dollars a fill-up each American would save. If you fill your tank once a week that would be 312 dollars a year for one car. A nice little tax credit.

WANT GASOLINE PRICE RELIEF URGE CONGRESS TO REPEAL THE GASOLINE AND DESIEL TAX.

I agree with you 100%. I'm going to cut & paste this to an e-mail and send it to all my old shipmates.
