American's Support the President's NSA Eavesdropping Operation

Despite the New York Times efforts to turn the American public against President Bush with the NSA electronic eavesdropping issue, a Scott Rasmussen Poll shows a vast majority support the President. The results of the poll:

  • Should the National Security Agency be allowed to intercept telephone conversations between terrorism suspects in other countries and people living in the United States?

Yes 64 %

No 23 %

  • Is President Bush the first President to authorize a program for intercepting telephone conversations between terrorism suspects in other countries and people living in the United States?

Yes 26 %

No 48 %

  • 81 % Republicans support the NSA operation, 51 % of Democrates and 57 % of Independents.

I am sure that the Gray Lady will see it as their responsibilty to change American opinion, so don't expect the story to go away. Remember the Times is always truthful.
