Texans' Head Coach Given Pink Slip

As predicted yesterday by the Houston Chronicle, Dom Capers head coach of the Texans was fired on Monday. Capers said he came in to win and never changed his approach since he became head coach of the Texans. He also felt that somethings were out of his control, but he did not elaborate.

One thing he said he was most proud of the team and the coaching staff for was that no one fell into the trap of the blame game.

As for loosing the last game intentionly to win the number one draft pick, he said that his team wanted to end the season with a win.

It is also likely that the defensive and offensive coordinators will also be sent packing. General Manager Charley Casserly will stay on.
