Predictions for 2006

Now that 2005 is in the books, I have some predictions for 2006:

  • President's Bush approval rating will hover between 50 & 55 %.
  • Congress will hold hearing on the NSA eavesdropping program, but Democrates will been seen as the party more interested in being down President Bush than protecting the country from terrorist.
  • It will be left for the US, UK and Isreal to deal with the Iranian nuclear program.
  • Iraq democracy will grow and US will begin to draw down troops to about 95,000 soldiers.
  • 2006 hurricane season will not be as active 2005.
  • Texas will win the Rose Bowl, finally putting to an end to all the hype about USC.
  • Despite it's poor performance at the box office, Brokeback Mountain will take home "Best Picture" of the year.
  • Judge Sam Alito will be approved as the next Supreme Court Judge.
